Description:
Abusua Foundation is recruiting an Office / Youth Centre Manager, who will manage the Abusua Foundation office, manage volunteers and the running of our youth resource centre and assist the Programme Coordinator and Executive Director on their programmatic work, which may involve travel
DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Answering phone calls and greeting guests
• Managing office supplies
• Working with external IT support to resolve computer and network problems
• Managing volunteers to oversee the Abusua Youth Resource Centre (AYRC)
• Working with the building management regarding any maintenance issues
• Handling petty cash
• Maintaining and tracking the office’s monthly budget, including filing receipts and working with accountant to ensure consistency
• Creating and printing letters, flyers, posters and other promotional material
• Coordinating our training and development programme events
SKILLS:
>Highly organised; ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
>Office management experience including organisation and maintenance of computer database systems, telephone, mail, filing, and library and management of facilities, systems, equipment and supplies.
>Excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Office 2007. (Knowledge in use of Coral Draw, and Adobe Photoshop is an advantage)
>Experience in computer network administration desirable.
>Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within programme and policy guidelines.
>Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, including correct spelling, grammar, telephone voice and manners, and proofreading.
>Ability to work quickly under pressure.
>Willingness to work long hours and travel.
>Ability to work in multicultural environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree and have experience working in an office environment.
COMPENSATION:
We will provide food and accommodation at the Abusua Foundation house in Cape Coast, and depending on performance after 3 months a monthly $100 stipend.
LENGTH OF STAY:
We are looking for applicants willing to intern for 6 months or more.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
Your airfare, visas, healthcare and insurance.
