As a Greenpeace intern you will:

  • Promote solutions to the global warming crisis

  • Stop the destruction of the world's last ancient forests

  • Empower consumers and shareholders to hold corporate polluters accountable

  • And yes - save the whales!

  • Activist training will be conducted in areas such as corporate campaigning, non-violent direct action, media relations, materials production and grassroots outreach. We are flexible with your schedule and can help you receive class credit.


Greenpeace is looking for interns for the following teams: Grassroots Organizing, Communications, Global Warming, Research, Forests, Student Organizing, Actions, IT, Oceans, and Operations.

Internship available in Greenpeace in Washington, D.C, San Francisco, New York, and Chicago


Responsibilities: research, general administrative support, communications with campaign team leaders, assistance with various projects including organizational skills trainings, events or activities in the field, logistics, and other duties as apparent or assigned. Must be open to working with multiple campaigns and departments as needed: Nukes, Toxics, Global Warming, Oceans, and Forests, Grassroots, and Actions.

Qualifications: Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work in Excel, strong online research skills, the ability to work well independently, commitment to non-violence as a means of affecting change and enthusiasm for protecting the environment.
