Location: San Francisco, CA – Downtown/Mission District

Job Description:
Kiva is looking for a motivated volunteer to work with our Director of Analytics to build out our Business Intelligence and Analytics Platform. For this project, you will help develop requirements for business intelligence, analyze and gain insight from our data to translate that into business and revenue opportunities. You will have hands-on experience working with data using SQL, Google analytics and Excel. In addition, you will have opportunities to work on ad hoc analyses that will help us gain a better understanding of our portfolio and constituents (lenders, partners and entrepreneurs).
Projects:
• Portfolio Dashboard — Help develop standard reports that provide an overview of our loan portfolio performance.
• Partners Analytics — Help maintain and enhance standard reports that provide performance updates of our microfinance partners.
• Lenders Analytics — Create standard reports and ad hoc analyses, such as segmentation analysis, to help us improve our lending and donation rates.

Ideal Core Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of MySQL or other SQL skills
• Ease of using Excel pivot tables and charting capabilities
• Ability to work independently in a flexible work environment
• Experience working with Google Analytics
