Description:

Crittenton Women’s Union Research and Innovation Department is seeking one or more graduate student interns for the academic year. Come join a dynamic team of smart, committed researchers and work on projects that include:

• Developing and Disseminating a report on Hot Jobs for Women, jobs that require minimal education and training and pay a living wage for women trying to achieve economic independence
• Develop and Disseminating a report on the updated Family Economic Self Sufficiency Calculations, a more accurate measure of what it actually takes to make ends meet in Massachusetts
• Conduct program evaluations of family support and housing programs for low income families
• Help Design and implement a new study on promoting economic independence for homeless families
• Conduct outcomes research for social services programs
• And much more! We welcome students to bring their own interests and potential projects to us as well.

An ideal candidate has excellent writing and research abilities, strong interest in social services and women’s issues, and is self-motivated, flexible, hard working and has a great sense of humor.

We would like someone willing to commit between 10 – 20 volunteer hours per week for the academic school year.
