Description:
Established in 2006, the Center for the Integration & Advancement of New Americans (CIANA) is a social service organization that works to integrate new immigrants from South Asia, Middle-East, and North Africa into American society.
CIANA is currently looking for two (2) Grant Writing Interns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Grant Research
2. Proposal drafts
3. Establish contacts with foundations and other funding sources
4. Develop a database of funders
5. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1. Undergraduate/Graduate student
2. Strong writing skills
3. Previous experience in grant research preferable
4. Must have understanding of the immigrant communities in NYC
5. Highly organized and professional in manners
6. Willing to commit at least 2 days per week.
