Carbonfund.org is looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to assist with our current and expanding programs. This is a great opportunity for a recent grad or current student (undergraduate or graduate) interested in using and developing their marketing/communications skills, while learning more about global warming, the carbon market and working in a nonprofit organization.

-This is a paid internship.
-Start & end dates negotiable.
-can work up to 35-40 hrs/wk.
-on the Washington, DC Metro; a transit benefit is provided as well.

Responsibilities:

- Research and drafting of communications materials
- Event coordination and preparation
- Assistance with market and competitive research
- Assistance with media outreach, including list development
- Tracking of media stories and relevant blogs
- Participation in planning meetings and website updating
- Phone, email answering and assistance with fulfillment/mailings

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of and desire to help stop global warming
- Demonstrated interest in marketing and communications
- Team player who meets deadlines and helps on projects where needed
- Willingness to participate and/or take initiative at planning meetings
- Previous internship in marketing and/or communications a plus
