Description:
Christopher House currently has an opening for a dynamic, passionate and motivated team member in our Development Department. Christopher House is seeking an individual who can help secure foundation and government resources needed to increase the capacity of our multi-site family resource center dedicated to helping low-income children and their families thrive.

• Experience with successful capital campaign preferred
• Knowledge and experience in Chicago philanthropic and media community is preferred
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the Director of Development and Communications to design fundraising strategies and participate in the goal setting process to achieve department revenue goals
• Manage a portfolio of major foundation prospects and funders. Create and implement strategies including:
o Prepare and submit grant proposals, correspondence, and reports to corporations and foundations
o Manage the annual grants calendar and monitor funding trends
o Develop on-going stewardship opportunities to better engage organizational funders
o Expand pool of organizational supporters by researching and developing additional funding sources including local and national corporations, foundations and trusts
o Work with program staff to gather information on Christopher House’s programs as needed for grant proposals and funding reports
o Maintain up-to-date records on all corporate and foundation prospects and donors
o Maintain up-to-date inventory of addendum materials and supporting documents
• Assist with marketing and communications, including the agency’s website, brochures, annual report, direct marketing and written and electronic newsletters.
