Description:
AHRC NYC is a large non-profit agency that provides numerous services to individuals and families with developmental disabilities. AHRC's Homecare department has an opening for a Field Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of the field supervisor is to visit each individual’s home and to observe the interaction between Residential Habilitation Counselors (RHC) and individuals we serve to ensure service delivery plans properly implemented. The field supervisor will be responsible for the oversight of Residential Habilitation and In-Home Respite services to 50 - 60 individuals.
The field supervisor will be responsible for assessing the needs of persons referred for services and for the development, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of the service plan as appropriate and for maintaining the necessary documentation of the services being provided. The primary responsibility of the field supervisor is to visit each individual’s home and to observe the interaction between the RHC and the individual to ensure that the plan is being properly implemented. The field supervisor will identify and address areas where staff development is needed and will provide on site coaching and training whenever possible.
Salary for this position is 33 to 35,000 plus excellent benefits including: vacation, sick and personal days, medical, dental, and vision plan, 403b retirement savings program, transit benefits, gym membership discounts, entertainment and computer discounts, etc....
Additional Qualifications:
This position requires a B.A. or B.S. degree in a related field, plus at least two years experience in MR/DD services. Candidates with an A.A. or A.S. degree and significant MR/DD and supervisory experience may be considered.
- The position requires excellent assessment, organizational and communication ability, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- A current NYS driver's license in good standing is also required for mandatory traveling throughout the five boroughs.
