Location Washington, D.C.

About RI: Relief International (RI), an international relief and development agency with cross-sectoral programs bridging relief and development, currently seeks a full-time International Recruiter.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Administration and RI’s Recruitment Manager, the International Recruiter is responsible for all aspects of recruitment for international positions. This includes the full spectrum of recruitment responsibilities ranging from the development of local/national/international recruitment plans, to the creation of candidate sourcing strategies, interviewing and screening processes, and offer elaboration and deployment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Working closely with RI’s Senior Vice President of Administration and the organization’s Recruitment Manager and working with a team of other recruiters and program staff, the International Recruiter will be responsible for:

• Working with hiring managers to elaborate terms of reference for the positions to be posted.
• Establishing benchmarks and setting timelines to achieve strategic recruitment goals in collaboration with the whole HR team.
• Developing local, national and international recruitment strategies and creating the sourcing strategies that will yield the right pool of candidates.
• Assisting the Recruitment Manager in maintaining and creating announcements of vacancies on website and other employment sites.
• Filing incoming resumes according to suitability and potential in organizational database.
• Reviewing and ranking potential candidates for suitability.
• Contacting potential candidates and scheduling interviews.
• Verifying employment history and checking references.
• With the guidance of the relevant program and senior HR staff drafting offer letter for the CEO’s consideration.
• Deploying recent hires (preparation of international package, including benefits, visas and all travel arrangements) in collaboration with Operations Officer.
• Updating new hires into HR system, personnel files, and staff board.
• Assisting the Recruitment Manager by obtaining and reviewing all staff timesheets (international and domestic) in a timely fashion and submitting them to Finance.
• Updating, reviewing and managing staff leave requests by submitting complete information for approval by HR Director and following up with the requested staff member.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required, in the areas of human resources, international affairs or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of recruitment and deployment experience, preferably experience with USAID, DFID, EC or other international NGOs or agencies working in emergency relief or international development.
• Excellent written & verbal communications and computer literacy skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently.
• Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness.
