Description:

AHRC New York City, a family governed organization, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

AHRC NYC's Human Resources department has an opening for a HR Benefits Coordinator.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide operations support to the HR Administration’s Benefits function that includes, but is not limited to:
o Verification and data entry of benefits enrollment and employee-specific benefit coverage changes into agency’s HRIS database.
o Assist in administration and coordination of benefits enrollments and/or benefit enrollment changes.
o Participate in addressing and resolving employee inquiries about the agency’s benefits programs in a timely and effective manner, including providing scheduled coverage on the function’s Benefits Hotline and responding to ad hoc questions as they occur.
o Assist in maintaining benefits documentation filing systems.
o Assist with the timely distribution of benefits-related materials and correspondence.
o Any other administrative tasks and department back up as assigned.



Additional Qualifications:

Associates Degree and at least one year of administrative experience required, with familiarity in personnel administration highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and follow appropriate workflow priorities as needed.
- Experience in addressing customer service requests in timely, accurate and professional manner.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications and capacity to undertake use of other automated human resource database systems, as needed.
