Description:

The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in providing administrative support at Living Cities DC office. The part-time position (10-15 hours/week; ~3 days/week) will involve performing administrative tasks and functions, including helping with preparing for external meetings and assisting with other office administration matters. The work of the Administrative Assistant is managed by the Program Coordinator and the Chief of Staff of Living Cities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support by scheduling meetings, booking travel arrangements, filling out expense reports and ordering office supplies
• Help maintain and update Salesforce database of organizational contacts
• Help coordinate external meeting preparation, including, but not limited to, preparing meeting materials, nametags and participant travel arrangements

Required Skills:

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with executive assistants from foundations, financial institutions, government agencies and community development organizations.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and to complete them in a timely fashion.
• Superb interpersonal and project planning skills.
• High level of self-motivation, confidence and acute attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Diplomacy, flexibility and exceptional listening skills.
• Good sense of humor
