Description:
PEPY seeks an experienced, motivated Program Manager to take a lead role in managing, implementing, and monitoring our education programs in Kralanh, Siem Reap. We are seeking an individual with both the capacity and the demonstrated track record to respond effectively to the opportunities and needs of a growing mission-driven organization. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute broadly to all aspects of the fulfillment of the mission and growth of PEPY.
The Program Manager’s main roles are:
1.Managing the implementation of, monitoring of, and outward communication of PEPY’s formal and non-formal education programs. This will involve working closely with a team of Cambodian staff to implement ongoing and new programs, regularly monitor and evaluate programs, plan and schedule project activities and provide regular reports on program achievements and weaknesses.
2.Assisting the Executive Director with financial management of programs including budgeting, financial reporting, fundraising, grant-writing, and communication with donors.
3.Assist the Executive Director with HR administration/management including recruitment, hiring, and general staff management. This includes helping to develop processes that ensure staff accountability, as well as organizing trainings, needs assessments, evaluations and ongoing capacity building.
Additional Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and experience:
-Relevant qualifications or experience in education, health, and community development
-Minimum 2-3 years Program Management experience in a developing country, including experience creating and implementing community-based programs, managing monitoring and evaluation, and the creation of budgets and financial reports.
-Experience in Cambodia and Khmer language skills a plus
-Ability to contribute to fundraising, and generate excitement, shared purpose, and action.
-Experience working in community development, and working on the ground in rural communities.
-Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
-Poise and proven ability to serve as an organizational spokesperson.
-Authenticity, integrity, and discretion to gain the trust and confidence of staff, co-workers, communities, volunteers and donors.
-Passion and energy for the mission and work of PEPY.
-Experience living and working in an international, intercultural environment preferably in a developing country.
-Resourceful and agile; self-starter; collaborative, patient, and flexible.
-Professional attitude, with a sense of perspective and humor.
-Creative and imaginative manner of approaching issues and devising sound solutions based on good judgment and collaboration
-Willingness and ability to travel in rural areas for extended periods of time, significant travel in country is required
-Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
