JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Child Care Group Supervisor
SALARY: Commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package.
STATUS: Exempt, Full Time
US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a nongovernmental, not-for-profit national organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants, seeks a Child Care Group Supervisor for our Preschool Program in the child care center of its International Institute of Erie PA, refugee resettlement field office. USCRI’s Erie field office operates a refugee resettlement program and employment program for refugees, asylees and victims of trafficking, Child Care Program, Preferred Communities program, Healthy Relationship program as well as immigration counseling.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the supervision of the Preschool Classroom. Duties include the following: Direct Care of all children in the Preschool Program, lesson planning, compliance with all PA Dept. of Public Welfare Child Care regulations, completion of assessment of children every 6 months, and maintain the Preschool Room in a clean and educational environment.
Additional Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
1) A bachelor’s degree from an
accredited college or university in early
childhood education, child
development, special education,
elementary education or the human
services field.
(2) A bachelor’s degree from an
accredited college or university,
including 30 credit hours in early
childhood education, child
development, special education,
elementary education or the human
services field and 1 year of experience
with children.
(3) An associate’s degree from an
accredited college or university in early
childhood education, child
development, special education,
elementary education or the human
services field and 2 years of
experience with children.
(4) An associate’s degree from an
accredited college or university,
including 30 credit hours in early
childhood education, child
development, special education,
elementary education or the human
services field and 3 years of
experience with children.
All Group supervisors must be
trustworthy, responsible and
dependable in character. Group
supervisors must be able to obtain Act
33/34 clearances within 30 days of
employment. Child care staff must be
able to lift up to 50 lbs, be able to kneel
and bend.
