Description:
Position Summary: Reboot is seeking its first-ever Chief Operating Officer -- a dynamic and experienced leader who will support Reboot’s accelerating growth by further developing and managing the organization’s key financial, infrastructural and administrative systems. The COO will report to the Executive Director.
Ideal applicants will be able (in person and in writing) to clearly express their interest in Reboot’s mission, demonstrate a thorough understanding of the fundraising cycle, and articulate compelling strategies for establishing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals.
This full-time position is based in Amherst, MA but requires frequent travel as necessary.
Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operational
• Direct day-to-day business operations, including finance, legal, IT and human capital
• Manage the annual operations plan and budget
• Coordinate all aspects of governance, including Board/committee activities
• Improve upon light infrastructure to implement processes and systems to support an organization experiencing rapid growth in membership, staff and geographic spread
• Lead the performance management process to measure and evaluate progress against goals
Fundraising & Business Development
• Collaborate with the senior management team to ensure that all aspects of Reboot’s operations are fully funded and new opportunities for product development and fee-for-service opportunities are fully explored.
• Oversee the fundraising process by collaborating with the Executive Director and Foundations Relations Director to identify, cultivate and solicit new funders compatible with Reboot’s mission
• Liaise with program staff to produce compelling reports on Reboot achievements for existing and prospective funders
• Engage and support Board members to enhance Reboot’s funding efforts
• Stay closely attuned to the Jewish philanthropic community in order to identify and capitalize on all funding opportunities that might support new and existing programs.

Additional Qualifications:
Qualifications: Strong candidates for this position will have:
• 5-7 years of progressively more responsible operational and management experience, with demonstrated successes
• Hands-on management of, and experience with, the complete fundraising cycle, particularly with foundations
• Superior written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, combined with a highly organized and professional work style
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of staff, Board members, and stakeholders
• Commitment to and passion for the mission of Reboot
• Results-oriented and driven, with an entrepreneurial approach to the establishment of operational efficiencies
• A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; MBA or similar advanced degree desired.

• A sense of humor
• Professional experience in the Jewish world is not a requirement, but a passion for Reboot’s mission is.
