POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the Office of Mission Resources, the Development Assistant’s primary focus is data entry and donor relations during the annual CCS Week campaign. Responsibilities include accurately entering gift and constituent data in the Raiser’s Edge Donor Database, with timeliness and confidentiality; producing targeted acknowledgement letters, pledge payment reminders, and other donor communications; in addition to providing general office administration assistance for various projects. This position is temporary, up to six months.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enters gift and constituent data into Raiser’s Edge and executes all related correspondence.
• Provides excellent customer service to donors by phone or in person.
• Maintains files.
• Assists in mailings (labels, appeal letters, etc.).
• Creates and maintains reports.
• Assists in other special projects as needed.
Additional Qualifications:
MINIMUIM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong data entry skills required, minimum 2 years of experience.
2. Detail oriented.
3. High level of accuracy.
4. Strong organizational skills.
5. Solid interpersonal, organizational and communication skills – both oral and written.
6. Good customer service skills.
7. Intermediate skill level of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
8. High School Diploma required.
9. Willingness to learn and work well within a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge Software preferred.
2. Experience in the non-profit sector, preferably in a development office.
