Description:

REPOA’s Special Paper 07.21 gives an overview of the social and political context of Tanzanian civil society, examining the tri-partite relationship between NGOs, the government and the donor community in Tanzania.

It summarises the perceptions of 81 Tanzanian NGOs (from eight regions) of their relationships with the State and donors, as well as what NGOs regard as their role in poverty reduction and development.
