Phase 1 of HSFA's U.S. Privacy Protection Initiative (USP-I) offers strong authentication and secure identity assurance technology at no cost to help small to medium-sized businesses combat ID theft, fraud and other computer crimes. Our goal is to eliminate a major source of privacy violations for employees and consumers.

HSFA will grant a community in-kind technology donation ($10,020 USD min. value) to all small and medium-sized businesses in the United States.

USP-I Public benefits:

1. Increased information assurance for small and medium-sized businesses.
2. A significant reduction in phishing, ID theft, fraud and other computer crimes.
3. A reduction in the Federal burden associated with investigating and prosecuting white collar criminals.
4. A reduction in loss, resulting in increased spending capabilities for small and medium businesses.
5. Greater security means increased consumer confidence in small and medium business and can increase consumer spending.
6. The creation of new Information Technology jobs nationwide.

Grant Opportunities:

A PSA with details on how to apply for this grant is forthcoming. Be sure to register for updates by visiting www.hsfamerica.org.
