Developed in response to a growing demand for information about existing learning, training and development opportunities that are specific to the voluntary and non-profit sector, ACCESS is a free searchable index that allows organizations, their employees, volunteers and board members to easily find and post sector-focused learning opportunities and providers in a range of topic areas including:
Human Resources Management (including both paid employees and volunteers)
Financial Resources Management
Fundraising
Communications
Governance and Leadership
Program, Project and Services Management
Users can search for learning opportunities and providers by province or region, topic area, language of instruction or preferred learning approach, with results returned in a format similar to an internet search engine. A feature unique to ACCESS, listings include not only accredited programs and courses offered by post-secondary institutions such as colleges and universities, but also programs offered by community-based trainers and other organizations including workshops, networking sessions and virtual learning.
