Mission:
The Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK) was founded in 1992 to address the inadequate resources for Asians facing domestic violence.
ATASK's mission is to eliminate family violence and to strengthen Asian families and communities. We provide culturally/linguistically appropriate services to mostly Asian immigrants. The services/programs include but are not limited to: multilingual 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, bi-lingual advocacy services, children's program, Life Skills/ESOL program, outreach, education and training on teen dating violence and cultural competency. Currently ATASK's language capacity extends to 9 languages - Chinese, Vietnamese, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Tagalog, and Japanese.
