Promotes plant-based (vegan) diets eating to save animals, protect the environment, and improve health. Conducts national grassroots campaigns including The Great American Meatout (www.meatout.org), Bite Global Warming (www.biteglobalwarming.org), World Farm Animals Day (www.wfad.org), Gentle Thanksgiving, Vegan Earth Day, and Letters From FARM. Through the Sabina Fund, FARM provides grants to US and foreign grassroots groups that promote plant-based eating. Sponsors the annual Animal Rights National Conference. Publishes fact sheets, brochures, and other education materials. Operates from the nation's capital through a large network of local groups and individuals. Supported entirely by individual contributions. Has 20,000+ active supporters and a staff of ten.
