Mission:
Empowered Women International (EWI) provides a network of support and creates opportunity for immigrant and refugee women and families in the northern Virginia and metropolitan Washington, D.C., area, using the arts as tools of empowerment, communication, cultural understanding, and entrepreneurship. We pursue our mission by promoting the art of immigrant and culturally diverse women and communities, and providing entrepreneurial skills, career guidance, marketing venues, and community service opportunities.
EWI was selected by the 2007-08 Catalogue for Philanthropy as "One of the best small charities in the Greater Washington region." More at www.ewint.org
