Mission:

African Foundation for People in Need [AFFPIN] is a local Christian faith based organisation founded in 2002 with the primary objective of responding to the needs of those living in abject poverty within the Mukono district of Uganda. AFFPIN aim to assist those who cannot provide for themselves, expose the level of poverty that the local people are forced to live with and develop community based sustainable solutions to counteract these problems.

The head office is on Level 1, Mayanja building, Market Street, Lugazi-town along Kampala-Jinja Highway about 50km east of Kampala, Uganda.

Despite the fact that AFFPIN is a Christian faith-based organisation, AFFPIN offers its services to those of all religious backgrounds. Affpin does not discriminate against any religious groups, but rather attempts to bring the people together so that they can all learn from one another and work together to solve their own problems that have stemmed out of spiritual misguidance, illiteracy and poverty. AFFPIN reach out to the needy with the intention of developing solutions to their problems and providing support to communities that have been identified by AFFPIN as being the most in need.
AFFPIN was founded by ordinary rural Christians with the intention of working together towards solving the socio-cultural problems faced by the local people. In approaching these problems, AFFPIN focuses its resources towards providing education and accommodation to orphans and needy children through the establishment of Manjeri Children’s Home & School.
