Ramapo for Children is a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization serving children with special needs and at-risk children from early childhood through adolescence. Ramapo's mission is to serve a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and learning problems in a natural, outdoor environment, providing educational experiences that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Ramapo manages programs throughout the summer and school year. We operate three distinct programs at Camp Ramapo during the summer that provide a safe, predictable, and highly structured environment:

Summer Adventure--serves more than 400 children 6-14 with a charcter-building program which fosters the development of positive learning and social skills with a 1:1 counselor:camper ratio.

Preschool Prep--prepares 120 fragile pre-schoolers (4-6) to enter school with improved social skills.

Teen Leadership--serves 80 at-risk teens, 14 and up, to promote self-esteem, trust, discipline, and motivation through seminars, adventure-based activities, and community service.

Throughout the school year we offer one to four day adventure based camping programs for youth and family groups which promote increased communication, conflict resolution, and shared meaningful experiences.
