Mission:
Founded in February 2001 by actress Shannon Elizabeth, Animal Avengers is a Los Angeles based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue dedicated to rescuing and placing homeless pets, reducing pet overpopulation, promoting responsible pet guardianship and preventing animal cruelty.
Animal Avengers believes that an animal is a life to be treasured and respected. We help all dogs and cats, regardless of age or breed and often regardless of illness or disability. We are a true no-kill organization. Every animal we rescue will be cared for until he/she is placed into a permanent, loving home. Animal Avengers believes in educating the community about responsible pet care, promoting adoption over purchasing animals, emphasizing the importance of spaying and neutering, and advocating animal welfare, and hopes for a days that there will be no more homeless pets.
