Mission:
As the nation’s largest food bank, the Food Bank For New York City provides the food for over 240,000 meals served each day by over 1,200 nonprofit community food programs throughout the city.
In addition to providing more than 61 million pounds of food each year to programs feeding New York City’s hungry, the Food Bank also regularly conducts research, analyzes public policy issues relating to hunger and offers nutrition and food safety education.
