Mission:
Renata Schiavo is a senior health communications consultant who has advised leading non-profit health organizations, corporations, multilateral organizations, governments and universities on how to achieve their corporate, marketing and communication goals both in the U.S. and internationally. Her fields of expertise include: strategic planning, behavior communications, marketing communications, communication training, patient and professional education, constituency relations, public relations, media advocacy, audience/market research, internet-based communications, corporate communications, health literacy, reaching vulnerable populations, and strategic partnerships.
Renata is the founder of Strategic Communication Resources and is also an adjunct professor at New York University where she teaches courses on health communication in the MPH program. Renata is the author of Health Communication: From Theory to Practice (San Francisco: Jossey-Bass, April 2007). She has a Ph.D in Biological Sciences from the University of Naples (Italy) and a M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from New York University.
