Mission:
St. Joseph Center's mission is to provide working poor and homeless families and individuals with the inner resources and tools to become productive, stable and self-supporting members of the community. The Center began providing food, clothing, and advocacy to homeless and low-income men, women, and children in 1976. From its modest start in a small Venice storefront, St. Joseph Center has grown into a comprehensive independent non profit 501(c)(3) agency serving 6,000 people from the communities of Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Palms, and Culver City through an array of ten complementary programs. We offer a helping hand, but always with the utmost respect for the dignity inherent in every person.
