ORI is a public charity dedicated to supporting
orphans and other vulnerable children in Rwanda who
have been affected by the 1994 genocide and
epidemic diseases such as HIV/AIDS and malaria. We
provide targeted assistance to orphanages and groups
of vulnerable children that have strong leadership and
clear goals but lack the financial means to put their
plans into action. Believing that higher education is
the key to successful development, we focus our
support primarily on secondary and university level
education. However, we also provide broader support
to our partners to ensure that children and young
adults have a productive environment in which to
learn. This includes areas such as health,
infrastructure (eg, electricity), and home-based
learning (eg, tutoring, computer labs, etc).
