Mission:
Mary House has been providing housing and support services to immigrant and refugee families in Washington DC and Maryland for twenty six years. Mary House currently has twelve sites providing housing to single mothers, grandparents, and families in crisis. Mary House provides a stepping stone approach for parents to reach into the future and strengthen their families. Volunteers have the opportunity to live in community with other team members in the neighborhood housing Mary House families.
Support services are designed to strenthen families with after school program for children, continuing education for parents,and a food distribution program. Other support services include a newsletter written by mothers as well as an advisory board that has representation on the Mary House Board of Directors.
Mary House thru housing and support services serves on an average 125 families per month.
