Mission:
The National Organization for Women-New York City(NOW-NYC) is the founding and largest chapter of NOW, and the most active grassroots feminist political action organizations in the city.
NOW-NYC is non-profit, multi-issue, and multi-strategy orgainization focusing on all issues pertaining to women's rights.
NOW-NYC works to end workplace discrimination and sexual harassment and ensure economic equity; secure reproductive freedom for ALL women; stop all forms of violence against women; and eradicate racism, sexism, and heterosexism. NOW-NYC works to promote equality and justice through direct actions, lobbying, and legal action.
NOW-NYC is an all volunteer organization and all are welcome to become involved with our Action Committees. Meetings are open to all.
