My Healing Place is a nonprofit devoted to helping adults and children who have experienced a significant or traumatic loss.
We are currently facilitating support groups in the evenings in Central Austin (on public transportation) and at various schools throughout the Austin area. These groups provide support for a wide variety of issues, ranging from adults who have suffered the death of a spouse to children who have lost a parent to motherless daughters and beyond.
Groups are facilitated by volunteers who have received training specific to grief/loss groups.
My Healing Place does not charge a fee for individual participation in a support group.
We also offer individual counseling to clients for a sliding scale fee. These sessions are provided by professional counselors and/or licenced social workers who work at a reduced fee.
