Seeing Tibetan Art is a grant-funded research project exploring the way viewers of different cultures perceive Tibetan art. Closely connected with Steve: The Art Museum Social Tagging Project, we are collecting social tags on Tibetan artworks from Tibetans and Westerners in New York and Switzerland. Our goals are to make museum exhibitions more accessible to the Tibetan diaspora community, and to increase visitor engagement with the artworks. The project is supported by the Rubin Foundation and the Rubin Museum of Art.
