 Women’s Information Service, Inc., commonly referred to as “WISE”, was founded in 1971 and is a New Hampshire nonprofit organization that serves the thirteen-town Upper Valley region of NH and VT. The organization’s primary purpose is to support victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking by providing them with emotional support, information and resources in a safe, confidential environment in order to empower service-users to make decisions and define their own path to short- and long-term safety and self-reliance. The organization’s second key purpose is to raise community-wide awareness of domestic and sexual violence-related issues in order to enhance the community’s response to such violence and to move toward its prevention.
