Mission:
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a co-educational, college preparatory high school, founded in 1996 for the immigrant, Mexican community in Chicago's Pilsen and Little Village neighborhoods. As a Jesuit and Catholic school, Cristo Rey strives to advance the human and intellectual capacities, as well as the religious and cultural heritage, of all the families it serves. Through its dual language curriculum and Corporate Internship Program (CIP), Cristo Rey intends to maximize the potential of its graduates to assume leadership roles in our city and nation. This unique model for center-city education in which students work five days a month to cover 74% of the cost of their education is now being replicated across the nation.
