Mission:
LISC is a national not for profit organization that invests in the revitalization of urban and rural communities. This is done by developing and channeling private resources from corporations, foundations and individuals to indigenous communtiy organizations called community development corporations (CDCs), which are engaged in the development of affordable housing, vital community facilities and job-creating commercial and industrial projects.
LISC has programs in 38 cities throughout the country, and employs 400 staff members.
