The mission of the Cambridgeport Children’s Center is to provide a distinctive educational experience that promotes cross-cultural understanding and partnerships between children, their working families and teachers of diverse racial and economic backgrounds. The work is achieved through a community-based and cooperative early childhood educational program that promotes creative expression, respect for differences, conflict resolution skills, and educational partnerships. We strive to meet the individual needs of the children, staff and families at Tot Lot through a full-day, full-year childcare center. To keep our socio-economic diversity 50% of our child care slots are subsidies for families falling in the low to moderate income level.
