Mission:

Created in 1972, Met Council's mission is to eradicate Jewish poverty by implementing solutions that impact social policy. Over the past 30 years, Met Council,has evolved into a multi-faceted social service agency meeting communal needs with a continuum of services and programs.

Met Council provides front line safety-net services through a network of 25 local Jewish Community Councils. Our goal is to meet crisis and low-income needs for the elderly, families, individuals and new immigrants for immediate assistance and long-term family and community stability.
