Mission:
Gay-Straight Alliance Network is a
youth-led, statewide organization in
California whose mission is to
empower youth activists fighting
homophobia in schools. We connect
student-run Gay-Straight Alliances
(GSAs) to each other and community
resources in order to build the
capacity of youth activists to 1) create
safe environments for students to
support each other and learn about
homophobia and other oppressions,
2) educate the school community
about homophobia and other
oppressions, and 3) fight
harassment, discrimination, and
violence in schools.
