Mission:
Now in its seventh year, DC Prep has built an excellent early childhood, elementary and middle school program and demonstrated uncommon success in student achievement, parent satisfaction, and organizational development. With a strong emphasis on rigorous academics and focus on social skills development, DC Prep is ensuring that its graduates have the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success in competitive high schools and college.
DC Prep will enroll nearly 1,000 students in PreSchool through 8th grade at three campuses in Fall 2010. Over the next decade, DC Prep will continue to grow, ultimately offering a high-quality education to 10% of public school students in Wards 5-8, Washington's historically most under-resourced neighborhoods.
By demonstrating academic and organizational excellence at scale, DC Prep aims to be a positive, energizing force for urban education reform in Washington.
