Mission:
All children deserve to have the skills and knowledge necessary for them to lead healthy, caring, responsible and productive lives.
The Center for Social and Emotional Education (CSEE) is a not-for-profit educational and professional development organization whose mission is to foster effective social and emotional learning (SEL) for children and adolescents through education, training and research.
Founded in 1996 as the Project for Social and Emotional Learning at Teachers College, Columbia University, CSEE became a charitable non-profit organization in 1997. CSEE's mission is to foster effective social and emotional learning for children through education, research and training. CSEE offers a range of educational opportunities for educators and parents to further effective social and emotional education at home and in school. The staff and board of advisors include nationally recognized practitioners and researchers from education, psychology, and psychiatry.
