Description:
Mikka Foundation from India and Earth Aid Holland Foundation from Holland, have set up a project for disabled children, that was received well by the local government and the target group. It is one of the few projects in the rural area for disabled, because access in remote areas is a big challenge. Most children in these areas are not able to reach the facilities in the big cities, therefore it is necessary to bring it closer to them. Mikka Foundation does not believe in hand outs and wants to make people responsible for their own situation.
With a disabled child in India it is not easy to change the situation yourself but with education and knowledge, people can do more than they thought. Earth Aid Holland raises funds and sends volunteers to support this project of Mikka Foundation
