Description:

The Community Ambassador Program is a lay health education program that targets community groups with the folic acid message. Regional coordinators train community members called Community Ambassadors who then provide presentations in their local communities about folic acid. These educators help increase awareness and influence attitudes regarding folic acid via community venues and personal networks, making it a particularly effective way to reach a large number of women. Trainings are only offered in specific areas. Contact Megan Fazekas at mfazekas@marchofdimes.com for more information.
