Description:

ABLE Families' Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker program (MIHOW) employs and trains local women to council pregnant and new mothers. These women serve as peer educators teaching about baby safety, nutrition, pregnancy health and providing emotional support. MIHOWs visit mothers in their homes, organize playgroups, baby safety showers and mom's day out events.
