Description:
The Service Learning Program provides short term volunteer opportunities in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. Volunteers select the type of service project they would like to work on while in Jamaica. Past participants have constructed buildings, tutored in local schools or provided basic medical care. In exchange for their service, volunteers learn from the community they serve. Volunteers live with host families, eat authentic Jamaican cuisine and participate in culture classes taught by locals.
Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from Kingston, Jamaica. An all inclusive program fee of $59 USD per day covers the rest of the volunteers needs.
