Description:

El Nahual is a non-profit community education center funded by its Spanish language school. We serve low-income communities on the outskirts of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala´s second largest city, and provide educational programs in English, Spanish, the creative arts, and more to children and adults with the goal of providing social and cultural development often out of reach for many in Guatemala´s indigenous and rural populace. We are staffed entirely by volunteers who seek to give back to the communities we serve through passionate, enthusiastic human services work: teaching, donating, helping us build our new community center, and more.

We are seeking a partnership with a US-based non-profit organization which will agree to sponsor us through the Flip Video Spotlight Program (http://flipvideospotlight.com/SpotlightHome.aspx). This organization would agree to apply to Flip Video on our behalf for materials to video-document the work we are doing at El Nahual. There is no cost to do so, only the satisfaction of working together across borders toward a common goal of education, social development, and international community-building. We are particularly interested in partnering with organizations focused on improving the lives of children and families in Central America.
