Description:
Give a lift and get one, too! Volunteer Driver can either be matched with a person for regularly scheduled shopping trips and errands; or, be contacted for driving assignments on an as needed basis. Help reduce the isolation of a person with mental illness by providing transportation and friendship.
This volunteer position in Ramsey/Dakota County provides flexibility, mileage reimbursement and the satisfaction of meeting an important need. Driver must have a good driving record, adequate insurance and a reliable vehicle. Driver should be friendly, kind and possess good listening skills. Training is provided and the schedule is flexible. A pair of volunteers could be a driver-team (great for spouses, friends, etc)!
No specific location is needed. We welcome volunteers from the entire area though the majority of our services are in Ramsey and Dakota Counties.
