Description:
Currently Nepal has been facing different problems. Due to such a situation, there are not many opportunities for the youngsters. About two million youths have displaced and have gone to foreign countries for the employment. If this situation continues, Nepal will be the place of children and old people only; the country will not have any expertise as needed for development of the country and will remain one of the poorest countries in the world.
VIN therefore has aimed to provide vocational trainings for the community people so that they can create opportunities all by themselves. For the purpose, VIN has been conducting research activities in the communities to find out what is in the community and what they can do next. Besides its difficult situation, Nepal is also full of its natural resources. There are much more opportunities and alternatives in the country; only we need to do is to strengthen and empower community people. Ultimately, VIN believes that they can generate opportunities themselves. Hence, VIN aims to provide vocational trainings to the community people - mason, carpentry, arts and crafts, Nepali paper making, embroidery and much more so that they can do something useful for their living and ultimately, help to reduce poverty in the country.
We therefore strongly encourage volunteers to support VIN in its endeavor to eliminate poverty from the country. You can support us in many ways - you can donate; if you are skillful, you can volunteer to train them; you can send materials etc.
