Volunteers for Short Term Project 2 - 3 weeks

Description:

We offer 2 - 3 week long programs with different activities from Agriculture, Environment, Construction, HIV/AIDS education, IGA, Social and Art activities.
This program will be located in urban and rural areas.
We have 20 short term projects in different locations
Volunteers will be working with other volunteers in the respective project.
Knowledge of English is compulsory.
Fees:
2 weeks Euros 150
3 weeks Euros 200

The fee covers meals and accommodation only.

Food and Accommodation:
PIVS will provide a variety of foodstuffs available locally and the community will guide the volunteers on the local food culture. Volunteers will prepare their own meals in turn using firewood and charcoal. There will be a prescribed menu with a balanced diet i.e. Carbohydrates, Vitamins and Proteins. Volunteers will be accommodated at host families, classroom, social hall within the campsite. There is no shower and modern toilet. Volunteers will sleep on the floor to experience complex development challenges and will be expected to climb down to the level of the host community. The volunteers will be guided on the customs and conduct and should not strive to portray living standards beyond their means.
Transportation to the project is by local means i.e. Public Bus
