Description:
The American Red Cross originated long ago growing from one man's spontaneous gesture to help wounded soldiers, to become an organization reaching out to millions of war victims around the world, the Red Cross and International Red Cross have worked in most of the major crises of the past 140 years as well as most major cities and almost every country. We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with our international relations breaking down communication barriers.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist in translating for people who communicate in another language during emergency and non-emergency situations, never regarding legal issues. We do ask that all volunteers complete a short and fun Red Cross volunteer Orientation and meet and greet as well as a Language Bank Class. We ask that all of our Language Bank volunteers are able to speak English as well as a second language and are flexible with their volunteering hours.
How to Apply:
Thank you for your interest in the American Red Cross!
Feel free to stop by our offices or visit our website at http://www.greenwichredcross.org to fill out an application! Once we have received your application we will contact you to schedule a volunteer orientation.
