Description:

The Earth Policy Institute is dedicated to planning a sustainable future as well as providing a roadmap of how to get from here to there.

We are looking for volunteers to help expand our online network of supporters. We have accounts with Gather.com and Care2.com, and need someone with online-savvy to help us build a strong base of 'friends' on each of the sites.

Through this new distribution network, EPI will be able to release new research and updates so that individuals and organizations will have quality research and information on the environmental issues facing the world. Through our current listserv and countless stories picked up by the print media, many have already been inspired to take action. Please visit our website at http://www.earthpolicy.org

The timeframe is ongoing; you can help add a few friends to our network, or thousands. You will be working from your home or school computer, checking in with EPI staff via email and telephone.

If you haven’t already read Lester R. Brown’s latest book, Plan B 2.0: Rescuing a Planet Under Stress and a Civiliation in Trouble¸ as a thank-you for helping us we will send you an autographed copy.

How to Apply:

To apply, please send an email to EPI at epi (at) earthpolicy.org with "Volunteer" in the subject line. In the message, please include a description of what online social networking sites you currently use, which ones you think would be appropriate for EPI, any relevant experience you have, and a phone number where you can be reached. If you are in school please include what grade/year you are in.
